Richland Center chosen to host Legion tourney
Richland Center has been named the site of the 2011 Senior American Legion Class a State Baseball Tournament.
Larry Veith said he had been notified that Richland Center American Legion Post 13 was awarded the event at the American Legion State Winter Convention at Wisconsin Dells last weekend. The tournament is slated to be played Aug. 3-7, 2011.
Veith, Vern Geishert and Tim Cornett presented Richland Center Post 13's bid. Richland Center was chosen over four other cities from around the state.
Richland Center hosted the District 4AA regional baseball tournament last summer.
